Why we need this?

• Offers advanced security features like a built-in firewall and VPN.
• Can handle up to 50 devices; scalable for future use.

Switches: TP-Link TL-SG1024DE ($120/RM530 each, 3 units for 3 floors)

        

Why we need it?

• Provides network monitoring, traffic prioritization and VLAN features.
• Provides 24 ports, 10/100/1000Mbps RJ45 ports, enough for wired connections on each floor.
• Cost effective while delivering high performance
• Having 24 ports allow future growth and usage.

Access Points: Wi-Fi 6-enabled APs like Ubiquiti U6-Lite ($120/RM530 each, 3-4 units).

Why we need this?

• Supports Wifi-6 which ensures fast and reliable wireless connections.
• Can handle high client density because wifi-6
• Provides a secure guest network along with multiple authentication options (Guest Wifi)

Firewall: Fortinet FortiGate 30E ($400/RM1770)

                    

Why we need this?

• Provides enhanced data protection by IDS
• Supports fast VPN services for employees to access local server when working away from office.
• Not mandatory for startup but required if handling sensitive data such as copyrighted IPs and assets.

Local Server: Dell PowerEdge T40 (RM 3000)

    Why we need this?

• Acts as centralized resource hub/databank for the Development team.
• Supports hosting internal applications, version control systems, and testing environments.
• Cost effective for small office networks.

Software

• Network Monitoring: SolarWinds or PRTG (free/paid options available).

• Firewall Software: Integrated with FortiGate.
